It all started with one little dachshund
Savannah's Mini Dachshunds began with a simple love for this big-hearted little breed: their loyalty, their silly personalities and the way they make a house feel like home.
Today we raise a small number of litters each year, right in our home. Every puppy is part of our daily family life from the moment they're born, and every family who takes one home becomes part of ours.

From birth to go-home day
How we raise our puppies
- Weeks 0–2
Newborn care
Round-the-clock care with mom in a warm, quiet whelping area, with daily weight checks and gentle handling.
- Weeks 3–4
Eyes open, world opens
Puppies start exploring, meeting new textures, soft sounds and lots of cuddles.
- Weeks 5–6
Weaning & play
First meals, toys, play time and early potty habits, plus introductions to everyday household noises.
- Week 7
Vet check
A full veterinary exam, age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming, and a microchip.
- Week 8+
Go-home day
Your puppy goes home with records, a starter kit and a blanket that smells like mom.
